Every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and powerful. The Light That Holds You is more than a photo session — it’s a fully guided experience designed to help you look and feel your absolute best, and to create portraits that become timeless art.
As part of this experience, you’ll receive:
Personal Styling Consultation – I’ll guide you through wardrobe, styling, and how you wish to be photographed.
Fully Guided Photo Shoot – Relax into the process while I direct and pose you into the most flattering light.
Portrait Reveal & Ordering Session – Experience the joy of seeing your images for the first time and choosing your favorites for heirloom-quality artwork.
Gallery Feature – Your portrait will be showcased in The Light That Holds You: Portraits of Quiet Power exhibition.
The Investment:
A session fee secures your place in this exclusive series and includes a credit toward your portraits. Artwork and images are purchased separately, with collections available to fit your vision.
Many women choose to include wall art, albums, and prints to bring their sessions into their homes.
To Showcase Your Portrait Experience
As part of The Light That Holds You: Portraits of Quiet Power, you’ll be celebrated in my upcoming exhibit event at Stoller Family Estate.
When the series is complete, your portrait will be featured in a gallery-style showcase alongside other remarkable women over 40. This is more than an exhibition — it’s a celebration of beauty, resilience, and the quiet power of women through the decades.
You’ll also be invited to share your wisdom. After your portrait session, I’ll send you a set of thoughtful prompts to choose from, reflecting on your life, your story and what being a woman in her 40s, 50s, 60s, or 70s+ means to you today.
With your permission, your words will be featured alongside your portrait, on my website, in social media, and at the gallery show in 2025. Some women also choose to create a short video. This is a highlight of the day and everyone loves this part.

The Story Behind the Portraits
Hi, I’m Sarah, a portrait photographer devoted to celebrating women and the stories that shape them.
My passion for this work began with my own story. As an adoptee who lost my mother, Shurlee, when I was just 11, I understand the irreplaceable value of photographs. The images my father took of my mother, and us together, are some of my most cherished treasures, reminders of love, connection, and legacy.
That loss instilled in me a truth I carry into every session: portraits are not vanity. They are the stories we carry forward.
The Over 40 Portrait Experience is my way of honoring that truth, creating space for women to see themselves fully, to be celebrated as they are right now, and to leave behind artwork that endures for generations.
